An accessibility "High Contrast Mode".
A video game including a 'High Contrast Mode' is important for low-vision players to be better able to play the game.
My right-eye sees very low-vision which was useful to develop the mode. I was able to test a lot of the functionality and effectiveness on my own by covering up my good eye!
I worked with some great folk from Beenox Quebec to get this feature implemented for Modern Warfare III's Singleplayer Campaign! I am also excited going forwards for iterations and support that the system can receive.
Admittedly I've always had it on the back of my mind that a rock could fly out of nowhere and hit my good-eye. Or maybe that I'll experience age-related macular degeneration, as many of us will. So here's a backup plan to be able to enjoy these games in the future!
MWIII 2023 - High Contrast Mode demo - Stadium
Helped support game systems in the Singleplayer Campaign.
The MWIII 2023 Singleplayer Campaign went through a lot of different iterations.
Previous iterations of the game were doing experimental (and fun!) mechanics and gameplay. But unfortunately a lot of that work ended up not being shippable within the development timeframe.
The gameplay systems from MWII 2022, some of which that I helped design, were still stable, so they found use in this following game.
